text-align: right;"><span style="font-size: 14px; color: rgb(191, 191, 191);">冯江（右）在观测候鸟。</span></p><p style="line-height: 2em;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"><br/></span></p><p style="line-height: 2em;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">春雨绵绵，芦苇茂密，在国际重要湿地——武汉蔡甸区沉湖湿地自然保护区，保护区的工程师冯江身穿雨披，拿着望远镜聚精会神地观察远处的水鸟。“这几天雨水多，仍有许多候鸟在沉湖休憩。”冯江说，近年来，沉湖生态环境改善，水质提升，越来越多的候鸟飞来沉湖觅食栖息。</span></p><p style="line-height: 2em;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"><br/></span></p><p style="line-height: 2em;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">冯江从2008年开始守护沉湖湿地，十多年来，他几乎每天都要沿着绵长的湖岸线巡视，制止破坏环境的行为，监测大小湖泊的水质，观察保护区内动植物的状况。</span></p><p style="line-height: 2em;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"><br/></span></p><p style="line-height: 2em;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">从一个人就是一个保护站，到现在有50多名工作人员常态化参与保护工作，沉湖湿地有了巨大的变化：湿地湖泊内的拦网、围网被拆除，破坏环境的生产经营活动逐渐减少，水生植物种类增加，水质有了明显好转。</span></p><p style="line-height: 2em;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"><br/></span></p><p style="line-height: 2em;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">“水鸟的数量和种类是检验水质的标尺。近年来，我们多次发现国家一级保护动物中华秋沙鸭、东方白鹳等，说明沉湖的生态环境越来越好、生态系统日益稳定。”冯江说。</span></p><p style="line-height: 2em;"><span style="font-size: 16px;"><br/></span></p><p style="line-height: 2em;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">湿地在保持水源、控制污染、维护生物多样性等方面发挥着重要的作用，被誉为“地球之肾”。近年来，湖北修复退化湿地，实施退耕还湿取得了显著成效。湖北省林业局数据显示，截至2022年底，湖北湿地总面积达2175.3万亩，全省已建立国际重要湿地4个、国家重要湿地8个、国家湿地公园66个。</span></p><p data-mce-style="text-align: center;"><br/></p><p data-mce-style="text-align: center;"></p><p style="line-height: 2em;
